Day 1, We’ll be leaving Sentinel car park after shuttling up in a 4x4 vehicle from Witsieshoek Lodge. Access to the escarpment will be via the exhilarating climb up the chain ladders which provides incredible views of the escarpment and some world-class scenery. Once on top, be prepared for lunch at the famous Tugela Falls, one of the highest waterfalls in the world. We’ll settle for the night further down the escarpment close to Mt. Amery with it’s dramatic views of the Eastern Buttress and Devils Tooth.
Day 2 begins with some incredible views as the sun rises over the lower berg revealing new contours and an ever-changing landscape. We will set off after breakfast toward the Kubedu river and onward to Crows Nest and finally to the chain ladders to descend the escarpment. A satisfying descent back toward the Sentinel car park wraps up a wonderful week end of views, landscapes and waterfalls.
